Can technology transform a standard city, into being a smart one?

An article I wrote for the Times of Israel..

Urbanization is rapidly taking force as the citizens of the world are flocking to cities. Professionals, students, and citizens alike are shifting their livelihood into the cities of the globe in order to achieve a better future for themselves and their children. While a majority of the world already lives in cities, the United Nations predicts that 64% of the developing world, and 85% of the developed world will live in cities by the year 2050.
